This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Support training initiatives for Digital Reporters across the United States.
• Lead one-week onboarding and training sessions for newly appointed Digital Reporters.
• Execute live dictation sessions and practical training activities for trainees.
• Offer mentorship, direction, and continuous assistance to Digital Reporters.
• Provide insights and suggestions to enhance training programs in alignment with industry trends and business goals.
• Ensure that new employees are adept in essential technology, processes, and best practices.
• Oversee the accurate verbatim recording of legal proceedings using audio and visual technology.
• Generate annotations and keyword markers to streamline transcription workflows.
• Manage speaker identification and exhibit tracking during legal proceedings.
• Transport, set up, operate, and maintain audio/video equipment, including laptops, mixers, microphones, and software.
• Adhere to company-established standards, protocols, and operational procedures.
• Represent U.S. Legal Support in a professional, organized, and punctual manner.
• Provide assistance to Digital Reporters through email, Microsoft Teams, and 8x8.
• Help reporters with procedural inquiries and best practices.
• Collaborate with management to discover opportunities for process enhancements.
• Carry out additional administrative and operational tasks as assigned.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in one of the following roles:
• Transcriber
• Typist
• Law Clerk
• Legal Assistant
• Paralegal
• Videographer
• Other legal support professionals
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficient typing speed of 60+ words per minute with accuracy.
• Preferred knowledge in legal studies, communications, or a related field.
• Familiarity with civil deposition rules and procedures.
• Understanding of legal terminology.
• Technical proficiency with audio and video equipment.
• Flexibility to accommodate an on-call schedule.
