Replay Operator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare for and fulfill the replay role during live events, whether in a replay-exclusive capacity or as a packager.

• Exhibit the capability to adhere to game narratives and produce content with little guidance.

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of both professional and collegiate sports, encompassing year-round narratives, key players, games, strategies, and regulations.

• Identify significant moments, propose them to producers and directors, and execute replays swiftly on air.

• Edit and assemble highlight packages, teasers, and montages in real-time to adhere to strict broadcast timelines.

• Choose multiple camera angles to deliver instant replays of crucial game moments.

• Ensure that all server channels and software are correctly configured prior to broadcasts and address technical issues promptly.

• Collaborate with various teams within the organization to plan and support the requirements of the Event Operations team for specific productions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in live TV production or a related field within a major broadcast market, digital/streaming platform, or equivalent collegiate level.

• Availability for a flexible schedule, including the capacity to work weekends, holidays, and travel as necessary.

• Advanced ability to perform efficiently under tight deadlines, work autonomously, and manage multiple concurrent projects.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service.

• Outstanding interpersonal, communication, organizational, and planning skills.

• Ability to function effectively as part of a vibrant team and promote a positive work culture.

• Must be adaptable to an ever-evolving environment.

• Extensive technical expertise in industry-standard EVS broadcast systems (including XT-series servers, LSM Remote, and IPDirector).

• Capability to remain composed in high-pressure mobile unit settings when unexpected challenges arise.

• Strong comprehension of the events being broadcast to anticipate gameplay and emotional moments.
