This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage a national portfolio of residential REO assets from foreclosure through to their disposition, ensuring timely execution and maximizing recovery outcomes.

• Create and implement asset-level disposition strategies considering property condition, market trends, occupancy status, and investor objectives.

• Supervise third-party vendors such as brokers, preservation companies, attorneys, inspectors, locksmiths, contractors, and auction partners to ensure quality of service, performance, and cost control. Review valuations, broker price opinions (BPOs), repair scopes, marketing plans, and listing strategies to enhance property sale performance.

• Track key portfolio performance metrics including days on market, liquidation timelines, carrying costs, recovery rates, and net loss severity.

• Collaborate with servicing teams, capital partners, Special Assets officers, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders on asset status, foreclosure timelines, and resolution strategies.

• Approve repair budgets, vendor invoices, marketing suggestions, and disposition plans within authorized limits and company guidelines.

• Address escalated issues related to title defects, occupancy, code violations, litigation, foreclosure delays, cash-for-keys negotiations, and post-foreclosure timelines.

• Ensure adherence to investor guidelines, servicing standards, regulatory requirements, and internal asset management policies.

• Analyze portfolio trends and provide reporting, forecasting, and strategic recommendations to leadership and capital partners.

• Maintain robust relationships with broker networks, servicing partners, auction providers, and institutional stakeholders to facilitate efficient asset liquidation.

• Contribute to the reduction of non-performing and distressed real estate exposure through proactive asset management and strategic resolution execution.

• Assist leadership in assessing market conditions, property-level risks, vendor performance, and operational efficiencies that affect portfolio performance.

• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the objectives of the REO and Special Assets platform.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5+ years of institutional residential REO asset management experience or a related field.

• Strong grasp of residential foreclosure processes, REO disposition, servicing operations, and distressed asset management.

• Demonstrated experience managing high-volume REO portfolios in a performance-oriented institutional environment.

• Experience in coordinating and overseeing third-party vendors including brokers, attorneys, preservation companies, inspectors, and contractors.

• Excellent analytical and financial skills with the capability to assess valuations, carrying costs, recovery metrics, and disposition strategies. Familiarity with investor reporting requirements, compliance standards, and asset recovery performance metrics.

• Proven experience managing geographically diverse residential asset portfolios across various markets.

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assets, deadlines, and escalated issues concurrently.

• Strong negotiation, organizational, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Proficient with asset management platforms, servicing systems, reporting tools, and disposition tracking systems.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present clear, data-driven recommendations to senior leadership and capital partners.

• Experience working with institutional investors, private lenders, banks, hedge funds, or special servicers. Background in residential loan servicing, default servicing, distressed asset management, or special assets.

• Knowledge of auction strategies, cash-for-keys negotiations, eviction processes, and post-foreclosure asset resolution timelines.

• Experience managing REO assets associated with residential bridge loans, fix-and-flip loans, or transitional real estate lending portfolios.
