This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the complete renewal lifecycle for a designated portfolio of customer contracts, from initial engagement to the signed agreement.
• Create and implement account-specific renewal strategies aimed at safeguarding recurring revenue and minimizing customer churn.
• Develop renewal proposals, pricing quotes, and contract documentation that align with customer requirements and internal standards.
• Facilitate commercial and contractual negotiations with customer stakeholders, overseeing discussions on pricing, terms, and timelines.
• Spot and qualify opportunities to broaden the footprint through upselling and cross-selling in collaboration with Sales and Customer Success teams.
• Track customer health, usage, and satisfaction indicators to identify at-risk renewals early and initiate mitigation strategies.
• Keep an accurate renewal pipeline, forecasts, and activity logs in CRM and associated systems to facilitate transparent reporting and planning.
• Work closely with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Legal, and Product teams to eliminate obstacles, synchronize strategies, and ensure timely and seamless renewals.
• Proven experience managing an end-to-end renewal process for subscription or SaaS contracts, encompassing forecasting, negotiation, and closing.
• A background in B2B subscription-based companies with a history of achieving or surpassing renewal and retention objectives.
• Expertise in handling a large portfolio of renewal accounts while prioritizing high-impact opportunities and risks effectively.
• Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot, along with strong skills in Excel or Google Sheets for analysis and reporting purposes.
• Capability to foster productive relationships with customer stakeholders, navigate intricate procurement processes, and lead commercial negotiations.
• Experience collaborating with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Legal to structure renewals, address adoption issues, and manage contract conditions.
• Competence in identifying renewal risks early by utilizing customer health and usage data and formulating effective mitigation strategies.
• Willingness to learn GitLab's platform and procedures, with transferable skills accepted from renewals, account management, sales, or customer success roles.
