This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Indonesia.
• Manage a skilled team of engineers and designers focused on renewable projects nationwide.
• Assist the department manager in fostering a culture of technical excellence and accountability.
• Direct and mentor a team of engineers and designers in their individual and collective technical growth to enhance their utility to the organization and improve overall job satisfaction.
• Provide guidance and support to fellow engineers within the US Energy Practice and remote teams.
• Drive enhancements in project efficiencies by developing, revising, and implementing team-specific standards and templates.
• Offer management insights regarding project staffing and resource forecasting requirements.
• Create a list of tasks and deliverables with estimated hours and schedules to support business development efforts related to renewable and decentralized energy projects.
• Contribute to the department’s strategic resourcing strategies and actively participate in recruitment initiatives.
• Set an example in engineering practices by serving as the technical lead and engineer of record on projects.
• Conduct engineering calculations to assist and guide construction deliverables such as specifications, reports, and drawings.
• Oversee the team’s project timelines to ensure quality, timely, and budget-compliant project delivery.
• Guarantee that technical and safety standards are upheld in all design work.
• BA/BS (Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering preferred) from an ABET-accredited institution.
• A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience must encompass the design and integration of utility-scale renewable and battery storage systems.
• Possession of a current professional engineering license (PE).
• At least four (4) years of leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
• A total of 12+ years of relevant experience is preferred.
• High proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, and Microsoft Excel is desired.
• Familiarity with other industry software such as NREL SAM, ForgeSolar, Helioscope, Homer, ETAP, and WindPRO.
• Ability to perform financial estimations for systems (Capex, Opex), recommend PPAs, and calculate ROI.
• Experience in MV AC Collection System Design.
• Specialized design experience in floating PV and fuel cells.
• Proficiency with the NEC and related codes such as IBC and NFPA 855.
• Extensive knowledge of utility practices, industry codes, and standards (NESC, IEEE, PIP, etc.).
• Passion for developing skilled technical teams.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively lead engineering tasks.
• Experience managing full EPC and Design/Build projects from inception to completion.
