Remediation Subject Matter Expert – Environmental Engineering Discipline Lead II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Provides technical leadership in a specialized area and is recognized as a fully competent expert in their domain.

• Utilizes extensive and varied knowledge of engineering principles and practices across a wide range of assignments and related areas.

• Independently makes decisions regarding technical issues and methodologies, representing the organization at conferences.

• Addresses significant questions and effectively plans and coordinates work activities.

• Involves the application of advanced techniques along with the modification and expansion of theories, principles, and practices relevant to the field and associated sciences and disciplines.

• Guidance and supervision primarily pertain to overarching objectives, critical matters, innovative concepts, and policy-related issues.

• Receives direction for unusual circumstances and developments.

⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS degree plus 10 years of relevant experience or a demonstrated equivalence of experience and/or education.

• Candidates must be U.S. Citizens or permanent residents and must reside on the U.S. Mainland.

• The successful candidate will be required to pass a background check.

• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field.

• 9+ years of experience in environmental investigations and site remediation.

• Familiarity with CERCLA and RCRA remediation programs at complex sites.

• OSHA 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations Training certification.

• Eligible to obtain a Professional Engineering License.

• PE Certification is required.
