Relay Field Technician I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Assisting with acceptance testing and routine maintenance for power equipment in Transmission and Distribution substations.

• Implementing test protocols for various types of relay testing apparatus.

• Maintaining awareness of substation operations and prioritizing safety.

• Quickly learning and effectively applying testing procedures.

• Possessing proficient computer skills to support testing operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Understanding of three-phase power systems.

• Familiarity with power system protection and control schemes.

• Experience with testing equipment and related software.

• Practical field experience in commissioning and verifying panels and equipment.

• Preferred experience in relay calibration, testing, and maintaining substation relaying and control systems.

• Basic testing skills.

• Fundamental computer skills.

• Ability to comprehend company manuals and reports.

• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

• Effective communication skills in English.
