This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and guarantee the precision and promptness of Medicare cost report acceptance, tentative and final settlements, interim rates, and relevant limits for all providers within the Fiscal Intermediary Shared Systems (FISS).
• Handle cost report correspondence, which includes mail, submissions of cost reports, and settlement documentation for both tentative and final reports.
• Evaluate cost report documentation to ascertain if the criteria for acceptability are fulfilled for submission.
• Update systems such as FISS and STAR with application information received from Provider Enrollment.
• Ensure system accuracy by modifying rate changes in accordance with payment rate reviews, provider evaluations, and changes mandated by CMS.
• Foster positive working relationships with internal teams, clients, and customers to achieve common objectives.
• Work collaboratively with departments including Recoupment, Systems Support, Provider Call Center, Provider Audit, Provider Enrollment, PreProcess, and Provider Education to address provider concerns.
• Address provider questions regarding payments, cost reports, and topics related to reimbursement.
• Guide and assist in the onboarding and development of both new and existing staff members.
• Partner with team members to accomplish departmental objectives and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Contribute to a constructive team atmosphere through feedback, process enhancements, and active participation in team goals.
• High school diploma.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or healthcare.
• Strong accuracy in data entry.
