This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).
• Evaluate regulatory technical standards, develop SOPs aligned with regulatory mandates, and collaborate with essential stakeholders.
• Offer insights, unbiased assessments, and constructive challenges to guarantee that significant operational risks are thoroughly identified, evaluated, and managed in routine activities as well as new projects, products, and processes.
• Perform independent evaluations and daily oversight of operations in accordance with the regulated entity’s rulebooks, determining if there are systemic or thematic risk issues that require further investigation and escalation to senior management.
• Supervise regular operational cycles, verify outcomes, and foster continuous improvement of operational processes.
• Conduct periodic audits of operational outcomes, processes, and public disclosures to pinpoint potential regulatory and compliance risks.
• Collaborate with various teams to prepare regular and on-demand notifications for regulators, ensuring accurate documentation of key decisions and operational results.
• Over 5 years of experience in work, projects, or operations within financial institutions, possessing a solid understanding of financial products and processes.
• Must be willing to operate in the UTC +4 timezone.
• Strong knowledge of regulated derivatives exchanges and clearing houses.
• Demonstrated aptitude and experience in roles related to risk, control, or regulatory compliance.
• A genuine passion and keen interest in the fields of operational and risk management.
• A proactive mindset towards change, consistently seeking improved methods to accomplish tasks and challenge the status quo.
• Self-motivated with the ability to balance innovative and practical approaches. Strong communication and facilitation skills, capable of working with and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is essential for coordinating with international partners and stakeholders.
