This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Assists school administrators by handling requests for new enrollments and withdrawals.
• Keeps student files and records organized, encompassing both clerical and academic aspects.
• Performs standard administrative tasks and facilitates communication with various stakeholders.
• Requires the ability to work independently, typically exceeding 40 hours per week.
• Organizes and manages school records efficiently.
• Collaborates with registrars to obtain missing documentation.
• Ensures all students' information is current and that files are complete as mandated by the state’s Department of Education (DOE).
• Processes record requests from external School Systems/Agencies within the specified timeframe.
• Aids in regular file audits to guarantee compliance, including the verification of document presence.
• Contacts school districts to gather student records information for the identification of at-risk students as needed.
• Engages with parents in a tactful and sensitive manner, upholding confidentiality in job-related matters.
• Maintains current electronic and paper files in preparation for monthly audits of records related to Federal Income Forms and at-risk indicators.
• Generates withdrawal reports on a weekly basis, ensuring all systems are updated accurately and appropriately.
• Ensures adherence to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) by school personnel.
• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
• One (1) year of relevant work experience OR a suitable combination of education and experience.
• Capability to pass the necessary background check.
• Proven organizational skills and familiarity with systematic filing methods.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team of office professionals.
• Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Proficiency in using web-based database programs to input and monitor educational information.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is required.
• Associate degree is preferred.
• Two (2) years of relevant experience is preferred.
