This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Supervise the precise importation, organization, and upkeep of student data within the PowerSchool SIS.
• Ensure that student records are accurately entered and updated in line with school policies.
• Identify and resolve data discrepancies or system errors related to the SIS.
• Manage incoming and outgoing student records requests in accordance with relevant privacy laws.
• Maintain student records that are precise, organized, and secure.
• Guarantee compliance with record retention policies and accreditation standards.
• Offer student data assistance to enrollment, academic, and administrative teams.
• Act as the main point of contact for PowerSchool SIS.
• Oversee data integrity within the SIS, including troubleshooting, system maintenance, and reporting.
• Gather, organize, and evaluate data and metrics to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
• Ensure adherence to FERPA, state, and international educational regulations.
• Prepare and submit reports to accrediting organizations and regulatory agencies.
• Conduct audits of student records and data systems to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Assist with accreditation and compliance initiatives.
• Provide training to staff on data entry, compliance processes, and best practices for student records.
• Collaborate with IT, enrollment, and administrative teams to enhance data management practices.
• Develop and refine policies regarding student records, compliance, and data handling.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a school environment, student records management, or administrative support is preferred.
• Proficiency in PowerSchool/Ascender SIS or other student information systems is necessary.
• Experience with PEIMS and state reporting submissions is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of FERPA and other student data privacy regulations.
• Familiarity with Cognia accreditation standards is beneficial.
• Knowledge of state and international educational compliance regulations is essential.
• Ability to analyze and present data reports to school leadership is required.
• Experience in online education or private school environments is a plus.
