This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Manage and submit requests for medication prior authorization.
• Answer phone calls and arrange appointments as needed.
• Review and update medication lists within the electronic medical record system.
• Complete referrals and monitor patient adherence.
• Review prescriptions electronically and forward them to providers for evaluation and submission.
• Obtain patient consent for procedures as instructed by providers.
• Conduct pre-visit planning and assess quality metrics.
• Collect telephonic clinical information from patients contacting the office.
• Oversee provider task lists and execute assigned tasks based on priority.
• Educate patients regarding medications, testing protocols, and home-care practices.
• Ensure proper labeling, handling, and documentation of patient specimens.
• Follow up with patients concerning test results in accordance with provider direction.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including sanitizing patient-care areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with nursing colleagues to manage medical and drug cabinets.
• Utilize the electronic medical record system for effective communication.
• Carry out assigned quality assurance responsibilities.
• Provide clinical visit summaries and educational materials upon request.
• Participate in daily Patient Care huddles as needed.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Perform additional assigned duties.
• Preferred Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Required high school diploma or equivalent.
• Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in New York State.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Minimum of 6 months prior RN experience.
• Ability to lift 20 lbs.
• Proficient with electronic medical records.
• Capable of performing telephone triage and clinical assessments.
• Availability to work day shifts.
