This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Deliver nursing triage services and health guidance to patients via phone and in-person when applicable.
• Evaluate patient acuity and identify the necessity for medical assistance.
• Provide diagnostic test outcomes and education to ensure the continuity and quality of care.
• Conduct patient evaluations over the phone and document complaints, symptoms, history, pharmacy details, and contact information following established protocols.
• Initiate and coordinate emergency interventions when required.
• Prioritize urgent phone calls and relay relevant information to triage providers.
• Educate patients and their families.
• Schedule or facilitate emergency appointments.
• Coordinate patient care and requests among various departments, specialties, sites, and external organizations.
• Execute and document communications with patients and customers.
• Review and reinforce provider instructions while explaining medical conditions.
• Address patient concerns using clinical protocols and service recovery strategies.
• Complete and route patient documentation promptly.
• Assist in onboarding new staff members.
• Propose process enhancements and present solutions.
• Graduation from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing (mandatory).
• Current Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania (mandatory).
• Basic Life Support Certification (mandatory).
• At least 5 years of nursing experience.
• Strong computer skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Windows, and Teams.
• BSN is preferred.
• Experience in ICU, ED, or critical care is highly preferred.
• Specialty certification is preferred.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including 7a–7:30p or 7p–7:30a.
• Availability for alternating weekends and holiday rotations.
• Travel may be necessary for orientation, training, meetings, or other business purposes.
