This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
• Perform comprehensive nutrition evaluations and create personalized nutrition care plans using the Nutrition Care Process.
• Offer patient counseling, continuous progress monitoring, and evidence-based nutrition education.
• Deliver specialized nutrition guidance focused on pregnancy nutrition and the management of gestational diabetes.
• Operate in a completely virtual setting utilizing digital tools and EMR systems for patient interaction and documentation.
• Collaborate with an Obesity Medicine Physician, Nurse Practitioners, and Health Coaches to ensure coordinated care.
• Employ digital tools, online programming, and EMR technology to enhance patient engagement and continuity of care.
• Assist patients in attaining optimal metabolic and mechanical health through motivational interviewing and sustainable habit development.
• Develop educational resources, including handouts and video content.
• Engage in online programs, group sessions, and digital initiatives as required.
• Ensure precise, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Active Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Current Dietitian-Nutritionist License (LDN) in Pennsylvania and/or relevant dietitian licensure in New Jersey.
• Qualified to deliver virtual care to patients in the applicable state(s).
• Extensive knowledge of nutrition and dietetics principles, especially in women’s health, pregnancy nutrition, gestational diabetes, obesity care, and weight management.
• Proven ability in behavior-change counseling, motivational interviewing, and habit-change psychology.
• Strong clinical reasoning, empathy, communication, and organizational capabilities.
• Flexible and knowledgeable in a range of nutritional methodologies.
• Capacity to analyze complex situations, make sound clinical decisions, and modify treatment plans as necessary.
• Effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• High proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and other healthcare technologies.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Commitment to continuous professional development, especially in Obesity Medicine and Menopausal Health.
• Must already be enrolled/participating with New Jersey and/or Pennsylvania commercial insurance payors.
• At least 3 years of professional experience as a Registered Dietitian, with significant emphasis on women’s health and weight management.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience overseeing pregnancy nutrition and managing gestational diabetes.
• A Master’s degree in a related field is required.
• A Certificate of Training in Obesity Management or CSOWM certification is a plus.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Completion of employment eligibility verification is required upon hire.
