Registered Dietitian, RD/RDN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough nutrition assessments through virtual consultations.

• Provide medical nutrition therapy for obesity and associated chronic illnesses.

• Create tailored nutrition care plans for individual patients.

• Offer nutrition education and counseling utilizing behavior-change techniques.

• Enhance patient engagement through effective communication.

• Raise relevant clinical issues as necessary.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, health coaches, and care coordinators.

• Engage in care planning and case reviews as required.

• Record encounters, assessments, and care plans within the electronic health record (EHR).

• Employ telehealth and patient engagement tools proficiently.

• Adhere to licensure standards, maintain HIPAA compliance, and complete mandatory training/professional development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Current RD/RDN credential in good standing.

• Active LD/LDN or CD/CDN license in the state(s) of practice.

• Preference for candidates located in TX, CT, OH, VA, NC, NJ, NH.

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related discipline.

• Required clinical/ambulatory experience providing nutrition counseling or medical nutrition therapy.

• Preferred experience with obesity, weight management, chronic conditions, and telehealth.

• Strong skills in patient-centered counseling and documentation.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams.

• Proficient with EHR systems and telehealth platforms.

• Access to reliable internet and a private workspace that complies with HIPAA regulations.

• Availability to work approximately 20–40 hours per week.
