Registered Dietitian, RD/RDN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough nutrition evaluations through virtual consultations.

• Offer Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for obesity and associated chronic conditions; create tailored nutrition care plans.

• Provide nutrition education and counseling utilizing behavior-change strategies.

• Foster patient involvement through effective communication; escalate clinical issues when necessary.

• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, health coaches, and care coordinators; engage in care planning and case reviews as needed.

• Record encounters, evaluations, and care plans in the Electronic Health Record (EHR); proficiently use telehealth and patient engagement tools.

• Adhere to licensure requirements, maintain HIPAA compliance, and fulfill necessary training and professional development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Current Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential in good standing.

• Valid Licensed Dietitian (LD/LDN) or Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CD/CDN) license in the applicable state(s).

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related discipline.

• Experience in clinical or ambulatory settings providing nutrition counseling or MNT (mandatory).

• Background in obesity/weight management/chronic conditions and telehealth (preferred).

• Excellent patient-centered counseling and documentation abilities; adept in interdisciplinary team environments.

• Familiarity with EHR systems and telehealth platforms; access to reliable internet and a private, HIPAA-compliant workspace.
