Regional Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Oversee a team of reporters who focus on stories from Oregon outside the Willamette Valley.

• Assist reporters in developing their beats and establishing sources.

• Edit content for both radio and digital media.

• Investigate and produce both breaking news and enterprise stories.

• Arrange and conduct interviews.

• Capture and edit audio using digital recording tools.

• Serve as a representative for OPB on-air and in community engagements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related discipline, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in journalism.

• At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory role.

• Proven experience in editing and reporting on hard news topics.

• Outstanding time management and organizational abilities.

• Capacity to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.

• Ability to represent OPB at community events effectively.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and another language is preferred.
