This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Pratt & Whitney is in search of a senior security executive to act as the regional leader for managing security risks, life safety, and emergency response across a portfolio of about 10 designated sites.
• This Associate Director delivers strategic governance and consultative oversight to guarantee the safety and resilience of operations within a specific region.
• Reporting to the Director of Security and Risk Mitigation, the individual will serve as the main regional authority, standardizing security protocols while adapting to the distinct headcount, operational hours, and functional necessities of each facility.
• Direct and coordinate security operations throughout the assigned region to ensure proactive protection of high-value assets, proprietary information, and personnel.
• Act as the principal Behavioral Subject Matter Expert for the regional Threat Management Team (TMT), utilizing advanced human-factors analysis for workplace threat assessments and high-risk separations.
• Perform critical risk assessments and threat analyses within the designated region to align security services with the broader business strategy.
• Oversee regional security for trade shows, special events, board meetings, and other executive services in accordance with established employee security programs.
• Manage the security lifecycle for new facility construction and upgrades within the region, ensuring sites are fortified against emerging threat vectors.
• Provide advisory oversight for local security budgets and manage regional Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to guarantee optimal vendor performance and resource allocation.
• Lead complex, confidential investigative support efforts at the direction of the Office of General Counsel to mitigate exposure to regulatory liability.
• Collaborate with Business Resiliency and Crisis Management (BRCM) to standardize emergency management processes across the region and offer in-person leadership for large-scale events in coordination with local Site Incident Support Teams (SIST).
• Regularly evaluate security interdependencies with multidisciplinary partners to identify alternative strategies that maintain a positive employee work environment while ensuring safety.
• Foster strategic relationships with law enforcement, intelligence agencies, and private-sector counterparts to sustain a 24/7 operational security posture.
• Create tailored security training curricula and mentor site-level personnel to ensure ongoing development of regional expertise and succession planning.
• Continuously monitor the regional landscape to foresee and prioritize potential emerging risks and threat vectors.
• This position requires a significant operational presence, necessitating travel approximately 60% of the time across the designated region.
• Advanced degree and over 10 years of experience in Military, Law Enforcement, Fire & Life Safety, Security, Site Risk Management, Intelligence, Cybersecurity, or related fields; OR Bachelor's degree and over 12 years of relevant industry experience; OR Associate's degree and over 14 years of relevant industry experience; OR High School diploma or Military/Technical Training and over 16 years of relevant industry experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in developing and managing large-scale protective programs in complex threat environments.
• A minimum of 5 years of management experience or team leadership, preferably within the Aerospace or Defense sectors.
• Proven experience in developing, implementing, and managing corporate security programs, including the creation of SOPs and process documentation.
• Active U.S. government-issued Secret level security clearance or the capability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is necessary, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
