This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Lead the sales performance for the Traction Division focusing on Railway and Mobile e Power in the Americas.
• Engage in discussions regarding sales strategies, setting objectives, and negotiating sales budgets and marketing initiatives.
• Oversee the sales team across the Americas, directly reporting to the Global Head of Sales Traction.
• Accountable for the Topline across all Traction Business Lines.
• Assume full responsibility for all proposals in the region; including Contract/Risk versus Opportunity, Project Calculation, market Pricing, and ensuring profitable growth.
• Support the sales team and clients throughout the entire sales process.
• Recognize customer needs and analyze competitors’ offerings through market research to effectively market and communicate value propositions.
• Perform market intelligence, early identification, and capture of future opportunities.
• Execute sales performance assessments, recommend recovery strategies for potential order deficits, and generate sales reports to facilitate production planning.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical and/or business field, with a cumulative 15+ years of experience in direct sales and sales management roles.
• Prior experience as an international Sales Manager in a Global Organization.
• Technical expertise in Traction Products and Systems as well as Rail Applications and projects.
• Proven experience in business development, account management, and cross-selling.
• Knowledge of contract negotiations, risk management, and commercial and legal terms.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities in English, strong negotiating skills, and a customer-centric approach.
• Familiarity with the market for Rolling Stock and/or Mobile e Power.
• This position requires 30% travel domestically and internationally across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and South America, necessitating a valid US Driver's License and US Passport.
• Candidates must have existing work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the US.
