This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +3 more states.
• Develop, take ownership of, and implement your business strategy for the designated territory.
• Engage in new business prospecting and development, which includes cold calling, scheduling, and conducting client introductions, as well as face-to-face meetings with clients.
• Create presentations, demonstrations, and prepare basic RFPs and proposals.
• Safeguard existing accounts while enhancing revenue and profitability through upselling additional products and services, and cross-selling relevant Safe Fleet products.
• Articulate the Safe Fleet narrative and value proposition to clients.
• Assess sales leads, pending orders, and technology upgrades, and formulate action plans to advance each cycle.
• Complete all weekly pipeline and activity reports in line with Safe Fleet's forecasting schedule.
• Actively enhance the utility of CRM; ensure information is updated daily on accounts in the pipeline, maintain a record of all activities for each account, and gather competitive insights on accounts.
• Represent the company at networking events, speaking engagements, and other industry-related gatherings.
• Monitor ongoing market trends and competitor analysis to stay updated on competitor activities and effectively relay findings to sales colleagues and product management.
• Maintain expertise in Safe Fleet products related to school buses.
• Build and nurture relationships with current and potential customers using a variety of sales techniques.
• Motivated self-starter with over 2 years of experience selling technology, preferably with a background in consultative sales and supporting video/security systems in either mobile or fixed environments.
• Capable of articulating technical solutions to non-technical buyers across various stakeholders at the end-user level.
• Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce) and Microsoft Suite is essential.
• Proven history of developing successful strategies and tailored proposals that secure new business.
• Exceptional oral and written communication, persuasion, diplomacy, and interpersonal skills; experience in researching, writing, and delivering marketing proposals and presentations.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a highly entrepreneurial environment where multiple roles must be managed and decisions are often made swiftly with limited managerial oversight.
• Understanding of internet and wireless communication systems and topologies.
• Strong written communication, project management, and technical skills are crucial.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to effectively address objections and navigate business challenges.
• Strong aptitude for quickly establishing business relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• A valid driver’s license and passport are required.
• Willingness to travel between states in the US (up to 60%); must also be able to travel to Canada when necessary.
