This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.
• Strategically plan, coordinate, and oversee the sales activities of the regional team to meet sales objectives.
• Educate and nurture the regional team to comprehend customer needs, pinpoint sales opportunities, and effectively represent Abbott and its offerings in the market.
• Oversee the performance of the Account Managers' sales team to achieve individual, departmental, and Company sales targets, including providing feedback on performance evaluations, recommending merit increases, and offering career guidance.
• Identify and recruit direct sales professionals.
• Lead the field execution of Company sales, marketing, and national account initiatives.
• Achieve set sales targets and objectives while adhering to the sales budget.
• Organize, coordinate, and manage the sales performance of the Company's distributor sales force(s) within the designated Region.
• Serve as the main point of contact for the distributor's sales and operations management teams.
• Act as a resource for contract negotiations, pricing strategies, proposal development, customer service, and follow-up.
• Recognize customer challenges and address sales-related issues.
• Assist in formulating strategic sales plans and tactics, including annual Territory/Regional Plans and Sales Forecasting.
• Aid in the development and management of the annual sales budget.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of sales force compensation and incentive schemes.
• Monitor market, customer, and competitor trends, advising management on strategies to enhance company competitiveness.
• Collaborate closely with the Company marketing department to identify new opportunities and develop marketing strategies and programs.
• Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and maintain communication with sales and marketing management.
• Maintain an exceptional level of expertise regarding the applications and technologies related to Company products to ensure accurate market representation.
• Establish, cultivate, and maintain business and client relationships with national, regional, and other key accounts in the region.
• Recognize and understand the quality implications that may arise from the improper execution of their specific roles.
• BA/BS degree, preferably in sales, marketing, business management, or related fields.
• Additional training in product sales and the diagnostics sector.
• Over 7 years of sales experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role overseeing field staff.
• In-depth knowledge of complex sales methods and techniques within the diagnostic market, along with a proven track record in executing sales strategies.
• Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and working knowledge of Salesforce.com or similar solutions.
