This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• As the Vena specialist, advocate, and brand ambassador for your Territory, you will take charge of sales execution and performance with both prospects and customers.
• You will actively contribute to shaping sales strategies and driving continuous improvement within your Territory.
• Exhibit exceptional personal leadership and accountability, serving as a key partner in ensuring the Company achieves its sales objectives.
• You will be directly accountable for the accuracy and timeliness of your reporting and metrics.
• Take ownership of the visibility and completeness of your sales reporting, which includes sales activities, pipeline status, and forecast updates.
• Collaborate with all Vena Teams as necessary to enhance sales while being mindful of their requirements, dependencies, and operations to ensure complete cross-functional transparency and alignment.
• Continuously support Vena’s remote inside sales and/or partner teams as required to promote the Vena brand and drive revenue, engagement, and growth in your Territory.
• Engage actively in evaluations of your performance, your Team's performance, and the Company’s actual and projected results, providing insights and submitting recommendations to foster speed, effectiveness, and efficiency.
• Relentlessly pursue your performance targets in key areas such as Quarterly and annual net new software revenue (measured by annual recurring revenue, or “ARR”).
• Engage in prospecting activities independently, while also guiding and leveraging sales development resources and collaborating with the Vena Partner network.
• Build and continuously develop your pipeline to ensure adequate coverage and instill confidence in forecasts.
• Focus on customer expansion ARR.
• Your specific responsibilities will include ownership of your targets and associated metrics and analytics.
• Attend weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales meetings, including Quarterly Business Reviews, Kick Offs, Training, and Planning sessions.
• Successfully complete onboarding and meet ongoing sales certification standards.
• Strive to be the best sales partner for other teams, including Solution Consulting, Professional Services, and Customer Success.
• Utilize Vena’s systems (currently including Salesforce.com, Salesloft, LinkedIn) to maximize your efficiency and ensure accurate reporting of all your activities and metrics with the necessary details.
• Support and take ownership of local Vena events (such as Vena 360, Vena Experience, Vena Customer Exchange) and/or third-party events (such as vendor, partner, or industry conferences).
• Promote the Vena brand to prospects, customers, and partners, consistently acting in alignment with Vena’s values and policies.
• Engage in attracting and mentoring sales team members, continuously developing Vena’s high-performance, creative, innovative, and results-oriented Sales Team.
• Contribute to fostering a team culture dedicated to growth, collaboration, accountability, and respect.
• A minimum of 3+ years of demonstrated success in similar RSM roles, collaborating with Finance Teams of midmarket and larger organizations to navigate complex sales cycles (including multistage presentations, demonstrations, proof of concept, and ARR of $25,000+).
• At least 5+ years of total experience in a quota-carrying frontline sales and sales development position within high-growth SaaS sales teams and/or larger enterprise vendors (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, etc.), or 3+ years of experience as a sales development expert in a relevant vendor/sell-to Finance/business process solution environment.
• Significant experience in new logo acquisition and Territory development.
• Ability to drive performance through creativity, exemplary leadership by example, compelling communication, and inspiration.
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills, capable of establishing and maintaining relationships with senior management and C-suite Finance stakeholders.
• A proven track record as a sales professional who embodies and aligns with Vena’s values.
• Experience with CRM and Marketing automation tools such as Salesforce, SalesLoft, LinkedIn, etc.
• Ideally, you will have relevant experience selling to a Finance audience and possess knowledge/expertise in Finance Process and Accounting.
