This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland, +1 more state.
⢠Promote, oversee, and support legal compliance at a regional level while assisting the Head of Restaurant Compliance on a national scale.
⢠Shape and influence the safety culture at Nando's.
⢠Manage the execution of national safety initiatives throughout the region.
⢠Address regional business challenges by providing specialized safety expertise.
⢠Aid the region in adhering to legal and policy guidelines.
⢠Collaborate with MDs to ensure systems and processes are in alignment with Nando's Safety and QA policies.
⢠Identify operational non-compliance that necessitates company-wide action.
⢠Review practices and procedures related to fire, health and safety, as well as food hygiene.
⢠Advocate for best practices and enhance processes and procedures.
⢠Foster a sustainable safety culture within the organization.
⢠Identify issues for insurance escalation and coordinate with the press office regarding potential brand-reputation concerns.
⢠Engage in business meetings to report on safety and QA performance and coordinate necessary actions.
⢠Resolve outstanding compliance-summary items in collaboration with MDs.
⢠Oversee pest-control interfaces and monitor service levels for waste disposal and pest control.
⢠Work with licensing lawyers on Premises Licenses and changes to the Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS).
⢠Coordinate with external service providers on regional safety issues.
⢠Maintain accurate records of AFP incidents, restaurant visits, licensing arrangements, EHO issues, and routine health and safety inspections.
⢠Ensure that new restaurants are provided with the necessary safety support contracts and materials.
⢠Address legal violations identified by EHOs.
⢠Visit restaurants to guide and mentor Patraos and managers on operational enhancements and audit performance.
⢠Investigate reports of food poisoning incidents and provide advice to Customer Experience colleagues regarding closures.
⢠Respond quickly to restaurants following RIDDOR-reportable accidents, robberies, security incidents, and significant hygiene or health and safety complaints.
⢠Follow up on external fire and health and safety risk assessments.
⢠Act as a deputy for safety team members and support team members with specialized knowledge.
⢠3ā5 years of experience in a similar role.
⢠Strong operational knowledge and credibility to recommend and influence practical safety solutions.
⢠Capability to build rapport at all levels of the organization.
⢠Ability to influence at various levels and present confidently to diverse audiences.
⢠Skills in coaching and mentoring.
⢠Strong analytical problem-solving abilities and sound judgment.
⢠Responsibility for decisions and the ability to communicate them promptly and effectively.
⢠Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
⢠Ability to perform well under pressure while maintaining interpersonal sensitivity and warmth.
⢠Proficiency in delivering specific safety training to stakeholders.
⢠Level 4 food hygiene qualification.
⢠NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent is required.
⢠A valid passport and driving license are necessary.
