This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Assist Solva Business Development and regional sales in identifying integrated manufacturing opportunities.
• Lead or assist in customer Discovery and Assessment activities.
• Convert customer challenges into opportunity definitions, value hypotheses, assessment scopes, and proposal components.
• Create and evaluate technical proposals, business cases, assumptions, risks, KPIs, and value propositions.
• Support Statements of Work, commercial negotiations, staged deliverables, customer alignment, and transition into delivery.
• Direct and oversee complex Solva project delivery throughout Discovery, Assessment, Proposal, Agreement, Execution, Partnership, and Support phases.
• Manage execution quality, customer communication, action tracking, milestones, risk management, escalation, and delivery performance.
• Coordinate with the Innovation Hub, engineering, machining specialists, partners, suppliers, and local Seco teams.
• Mentor local Technical Sales Engineers, Account Managers, and Application Engineers.
• Ensure structured project closure, capture lessons learned, document case studies, and facilitate handover to the local Seco organization.
• Share Solva expertise and encourage consistent utilization of tools, templates, governance, reporting, and customer communication practices.
• Act as a senior customer-facing project leader, engaging with technical, operational, commercial, and senior management stakeholders.
• Assist in customer reviews, business reviews, steering meetings, and strategic account discussions.
• Keep track of regional project status, risks, workload, pipeline readiness, delivery capacity, and customer impact.
• Manage project tracking, action logs, dashboards, documentation standards, and performance reporting.
• Advocate for safe working practices, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, Seco procedures, the Sandvik Code of Conduct, legal obligations, quality expectations, and environmental responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, business, project management, or a related technical or commercial discipline, or equivalent relevant industry and leadership experience.
• Over 10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, technical project leadership, business development support, industrial solutions, application engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical environment.
• Demonstrated experience in leading complex customer projects and coordinating cross-functional technical contributors without direct line-management authority.
• In-depth manufacturing engineering knowledge, including machining, tooling, programming, process optimization, cost per part, OEE, quality, and production stability.
• Extensive experience in machining process improvement, tooling strategy, production engineering, CAD/CAM, fixtures, partner coordination, or manufacturing optimization.
• Background in value-based, consultative, or solution-selling environments.
• Experience collaborating with regional or global teams, customers, suppliers, and strategic partners.
• Advanced skills in project governance, risk management, customer communication, action tracking, reporting, prioritization, resource coordination, and escalation management.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams without direct authority, manage conflicts, and align contributors toward outcomes.
• High digital literacy, data analysis capabilities, commercial awareness, and proficiency in using CRM, project tracking tools, dashboards, and Microsoft 365.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Valid passport and willingness to travel regionally and internationally.
• Project Management, Agile, PMP, PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma, continuous improvement, or manufacturing excellence certification is preferred.
• Additional regional languages are a plus.
