This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Oversee the delivery of intricate Solva customer projects from Discovery and Assessment to Proposal, Agreement, Execution, Partnership, Support, closure, and handover.
• Collaborate with Solva Business Development, regional sales, Innovation Hub, local technical teams, customers, partners, suppliers, and specialists.
• Direct customer discovery, assessment, opportunity qualification, value cases, technical proposals, Statements of Work, risks, KPIs, and customer alignment.
• Take ownership of execution quality, customer communication, action tracking, milestones, risk management, escalation, governance, and delivery performance.
• Ensure quantifiable outcomes in productivity, cost per part, quality, process stability, capacity, sustainability, and long-term supportability.
• Mentor local Technical Sales Engineers, Account Managers, Application Engineers, and project contributors without direct line-management authority.
• Propel project tracking, action logs, dashboards, documentation, reporting standards, lessons learned, case studies, closure, and handover.
• Involve technical, operational, commercial, and senior-management stakeholders in customer reviews, business evaluations, steering meetings, and strategic account discussions.
• Advocate for health, safety, environmental, quality, legal, customer, Sandvik Code of Conduct, audit, traceability, and compliance requirements.
• Offer insights on regional capability gaps, project demand, competency needs, scalability, repeatability, delivery speed, and operating-model requirements.
• Proven project leadership, cross-functional coordination, stakeholder alignment, action management, and structured handover experience.
• Familiarity with the Solva lifecycle from Discovery and Assessment to Proposal, Agreement, Execution, Partnership, Support, and handover.
• In-depth manufacturing engineering knowledge encompassing machining, tooling, programming, process optimization, cost per part, OEE, quality, and production stability.
• Advanced skills in project governance, risk management, customer communication, action tracking, reporting, prioritization, resource coordination, and escalation management.
• Capability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams without direct authority, manage conflicts, and align contributors around outcomes.
• Strong digital literacy, data analysis, commercial acumen, innovation mindset, and proficiency in CRM, project tracking tools, dashboards, and Microsoft 365.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; additional regional languages are a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, business, project management, or a related technical or commercial field, or equivalent relevant industry and leadership experience.
• Over 10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, technical project leadership, business development support, industrial solutions, application engineering, or related customer-facing technical environments.
• Experience in leading complex customer projects and coordinating cross-functional technical contributors without direct line-management authority.
• Background in machining process improvement, tooling strategy, production engineering, CAD/CAM, fixtures, partner coordination, or manufacturing optimization.
• Experience in value-based, consultative, or solution-selling environments linking technical recommendations to measurable business outcomes.
• Experience working with regional or global teams, customers, suppliers, and strategic partners.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365, CRM systems, project tracking tools, reporting dashboards, proposal writing, and structured project documentation.
• Valid passport with the willingness and ability to travel regionally and internationally.
• Project Management, Agile, PMP, PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma, continuous improvement, or manufacturing excellence certification is preferred.
