
Regional Patient Recruitment Lead – Clinical Research

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and implement strategic recruitment plans in collaboration with the corporate patient recruitment team for all designated studies and locations.
• Meet study enrollment objectives and achieve assigned revenue targets.
• Assist teams in executing multi-channel recruitment strategies, which include community partnerships, physician referrals, and patient databases.
• Ensure an outstanding patient experience from initial contact through screening and enrollment.
• Cultivate relationships with community organizations, patient advocacy groups, and healthcare providers to establish sustainable referral networks.
• Supervise diversity and inclusion initiatives to guarantee representative patient populations in clinical trials.
• Track leading and lagging performance indicators at both the individual and team levels, taking targeted actions to address or prevent underperformance.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and results.
• Prioritize studies and manage patient routing to maximize revenue while fulfilling enrollment commitments across all studies.
• Lead and oversee (directly or indirectly) patient recruiting call center managers, quality and training managers, strategists, and remarketers to meet key performance indicators.
• Manage prescreen programs, ensuring proper prioritization, routing, and strategies to support revenue goals, enrollment timelines, and database growth.
• Identify and implement coaching, training, and development initiatives for managers and individual contributors.
• Recognize process and system improvement opportunities and collaborate with corporate and site support teams to drive enhancements.
• Engage in sponsor relations and communications as necessary.
• Manage and sustain site-level vendor relationships, including sponsor-funded central recruitment campaigns.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation within CRM and CTMS systems.
• Guarantee that patient enrollment teams comply with all legal, ethical, and professional conduct standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
• Demonstrated success in leading high-performing teams that consistently meet or surpass enrollment and revenue goals.
• A minimum of 3 years managing a patient enrollment team of 5 or more representatives.
• Preferred experience in call center leadership for multi-therapeutic studies.
• An additional 2–3 years as a patient enrollment representative is preferred.
• A bachelor's degree is required; a business degree is preferred.
• Preferred training in healthcare sales and call center management.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial enrollment processes, protocols, and regulations.
• Proven ability to lead geographically dispersed teams.
• Highly data-driven, with the capability to identify trends and take swift, measurable actions.
• Capacity to foster a culture of accountability, performance, and results.
• Advanced coaching skills, including emotional intelligence and persona-based messaging to enhance conversion rates.
• Experience in managing and improving KPIs at both individual and team levels.
• Ability to devise and implement study-specific recruiting strategies.
• Expertise in providing an exceptional, inclusive patient experience.
• Proficiency with call center systems, phone platforms, and CRMs.
• Strong skills in cross-functional collaboration and communication.
• Adaptable, solutions-oriented, and effective in dynamic environments.
• Relevant therapeutic area experience is advantageous.
