This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Deliver field access support services and education to Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) to enhance patient access to Company products and expedite treatment initiation.
• Engage with all Specialty Pharmacies (SPs) and Closed Door Pharmacies (CDPs)—including Genoa—and Patient-Physician Services (HUB partner) to support Neurocrine Biosciences marketed products within the U.S.
• Establish and maintain the integrity of Neurocrine Biosciences' pharmacy distribution network by executing all vetting activities in a designated area, including conveying approval, denial, or removal notifications from the network.
• Provide assistance and education to all HCP entities regarding coverage issues for on-label prescriptions of Company products currently in progress; access support services, processes, and forms; and impart knowledge on payer-specific coverage issues and Company patient financial support programs.
• Act as a subject matter expert on regional and national payer coverage policies and procedures.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with field sales, network pharmacies, market access, commercial analytics, and operations.
• Partner closely with Payer Marketing to develop materials that enhance customer awareness of essential coverage requirements.
• Ensure that the distribution network operates at peak effectiveness by leveraging end-user feedback.
• Continuously assess processes, recommend new strategies related to workflow, and share best practices with trade leadership to enhance specialty distribution efficiency.
• BS/BA degree in a related field AND 6+ years of commercial experience in pharma/biotech, including 2+ years in specialty pharmacy/market access.
• Experience with specialty products, preferably in CNS.
• Previous experience in various functions within pharma/biotech is desirable.
• OR a Master’s degree or MBA preferred AND 4+ years of relevant experience.
• OR a PharmD or PhD with 2+ years of related experience.
• Possesses knowledge of best practices in the functional discipline and familiarity with broader concepts of related business disciplines.
• Works to enhance tools and processes within the functional area.
• Developing a reputation within the company related to their area of expertise.
• Ability to collaborate as part of and lead multiple teams.
• Strong computer skills.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical thinking abilities.
• Sees the broader picture and understands the impact on multiple departments/divisions.
• Capable of meeting multiple deadlines across various projects/programs with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
• Exceptional project management skills and ability to work in a cross-functional environment while managing multiple tasks.
• Strong interpersonal skills and success in cross-functional teams.
• Comprehensive understanding of specialty pharmacies, managed care, pharmacy benefit managers, and government payers and their influence on product access.
• Extensive knowledge of patient support programs, including reimbursement support, financial assistance, and adherence programs.
• Strong grasp of the prescription adjudication process.
• Ability to articulate payer coverage criteria and prior authorization processes.
• Previous experience in various functions within pharma/biotech is preferred, such as sales, management, marketing, and managed markets.
• Good understanding of current issues within the marketplace, pharmaceutical industry, and national healthcare system.
• Willingness to travel overnight up to 60%.
