Regional Medical Scientific Director – Medical Science Liaison, Immunology

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Establishes and nurtures professional relationships with national and regional Scientific Leaders (SLs) to provide access to company-sanctioned medical and scientific information related to therapeutic interests and Company products.

β€’ Engages in peer-to-peer scientific discussions, ensuring a consistent presence with SLs so they have a reliable medical contact within the organization.

β€’ Addresses scientific inquiries and directs SL questions on topics outside the defined scope (e.g., grants) to the appropriate company resources in alignment with applicable policies.

β€’ Keeps abreast of the evolving scientific and clinical landscape within the Company's Areas of Interest (AOI) specific to the therapeutic area.

β€’ Initiates conversations with SLs and/or prospective investigators that involve scientific and data exchanges within our AOI to assess alignment with our research strategies, study concepts, scientific validity, and qualifications for a particular compound or trial.

β€’ Suggests study sites and identifies potential investigators for involvement in phase II-IV clinical development programs, conducts Site Initiation Visits (SIVs), and identifies barriers to patient enrollment and retention efforts to meet study milestones.

β€’ Participates in scientific congresses and medical meetings, facilitating exchanges of scientific and data information for both Company and competitor data.

β€’ Collects feedback, data, or insights during routine activities that can assist the company in better understanding the medical or scientific needs, priorities, or concerns of SLs and/or patients.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD.

β€’ Demonstrated expertise and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Immunology (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) beyond what was acquired during the terminal degree program.

β€’ Strong verbal and written communication skills.

β€’ Capability to engage in doctoral-level discussions with key external stakeholders.

β€’ Commitment to scientific excellence with a keen emphasis on scientific education and dialogue.

β€’ Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and networking abilities.

β€’ Comprehensive understanding of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and other ethical guidelines, laws, and regulations pertinent to the pharmaceutical industry and its clientele.

β€’ Proficient in organizing, prioritizing, and working effectively in a dynamic environment.

β€’ Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, OneNote).

β€’ Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms.
