Regional Manager, Technical Solution Design – East Region

📋 Description

• Lead TSD teams within your region as a strategic sales leader, responsible for cultivating and sustaining relationships with key account customers to enhance the technical sales differentiation of Abbott solutions.

• Direct the regional technical solution design team in assessing user needs, collecting customer requirements, and creating an integrated, scalable, and comprehensive solution to elevate outcomes for clinical diagnostic healthcare clients.

• Collaborate with a complex network of departments across all organizational levels, including Sales, hospital executives, c-suite leaders, Lab Managers/Directors, Project Managers, HSI/IT personnel, internal and external vendors, contractors, and senior management as required.

• Oversee a team of technical experts that serves as a communication link among US customers, the company's US sales and service teams, and international counterparts, as necessary.

• Accountable for managing TSD team activities and workload to accomplish and surpass all sales deadlines for solution design deliverables.

• Create and maintain competitive comparisons to bolster business strategy.

• Serve as the primary commercial contact for technical specialist teams concerning product and process development and improvement, leveraging expertise and experience in clinical laboratory science and laboratory operations and workflows.

• Collaborate with the Sales Organization to identify new consulting opportunities and develop tailored solutions. Activities may include RFI/RFP assistance related to technical data, solution development, value creation, and customer meetings and presentations.

• Cultivate a team with the aim of functioning as a single cohesive unit covering all dimensions of technical expertise for Abbott products.

• Establish and nurture effective long-term relationships with internal and external customers.

• Manage and support sales objectives and customer satisfaction to expand the business.

• Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the quality system's effectiveness.

• Act as a subject matter expert in multiple clinical laboratory design specialties, including strategic selling, automation, instrumentation, analytics, workflow, and/or informatics.

• Demonstrate excellence in leadership, mentoring, and coaching team members to further enhance technical skills.

• Lead training and development initiatives to ensure a robust succession pipeline within the TSD organization.

• Maintain fiscal responsibility concerning both revenue and expenses, with the primary objective of exceeding each year’s work plan.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is required.

• 7+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: (i) selling technical products, services, installations, and configurations of automated diagnostics systems, laboratory automation systems, and system integrations; (ii) clinical laboratory science and laboratory operations and workflows; (iii) modifying informatics, laboratory middleware, and automation software; or (iv) conducting data analyses and utilizing data mining software specific to instrumentation and automation platforms.
