Regional Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Overseeing store managers within the assigned region.

• Managing tasks to acquire and maintain adequate textbook inventory levels for each academic term.

• Responsible for acquiring and sustaining sufficient inventory levels in general merchandise departments in line with budgetary requirements.

• Ensuring effective communication and sufficient interaction with department chairpersons, faculty members, and publishers as needed regarding book orders.

• Oversee the budget development for stores within the designated region.

• Create and evaluate reports weekly and monthly to track financial performance.

• Prepare weekly financial "snapshot" reports for each store.

• Conduct meetings with campus administration at least four (4) times a year to foster relationships and discuss service and customer expectations.

• Engage in outreach efforts directed at potential customers.

• Supervise store presentation and customer service quality to ensure positive impressions for customers and prospective clients.

• Recruit, hire, train, and retain staff at appropriate levels in accordance with Company policies and budget constraints.

⛳️ Requirements

• Four (4) years of college education or equivalent experience.

• Bachelor's degree (preferred).

• Three (3) to five (5) years of management experience in a multi-unit college bookstore or retail environment.

• Proven experience in retailing, including aspects of profitability, budgeting, merchandising, promotion, and staffing.

• Experience with textbooks is an advantage.
