This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Take the initiative to conduct investigations and oversee the complete lifecycle of intricate, sensitive, and specialized claims.

• Evaluate coverage, liability, and financial risk; create customized resolution strategies and negotiate high-stakes or disputed claims.

• Collaborate with both internal and external specialists (such as forensic analysts, underwriters, legal advisors, and contractors) to ensure comprehensive assessments and resolutions.

• Recognize coverage deficiencies and work alongside product management to improve offerings.

• Establish and nurture strong connections with clients and stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.

• Generally requires over 8 years of pertinent experience.

• Industry certifications (e.g., CPCU, AIC) are highly desirable.

• Substantial experience in managing highly complex, high-value claims with notable legal, financial, and reputational risks.

• A recognized expert in negotiation and resolution of intricate claims; capable of shaping best practices and influencing results.

• Proven proficiency in assessing policy coverage, legal liability, and regulatory frameworks across various jurisdictions.

• Demonstrated capability to manage litigation strategies, direct legal counsel, and represent the organization in trials, mediations, and arbitrations.

• Experience in mentoring others and aiding in the development of investigative methods, compliance protocols, and claims management standards.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to clarify complex information and handle sensitive matters with professionalism.

• Capacity to produce clear, factual, and objective work without personal bias.

• In-depth knowledge of insurance principles, coverage interpretation, and jurisdictional requirements.

• A strategic thinker with sound judgment; able to make informed decisions independently and evaluate financial implications.
