Regional General Adjuster – Specialized Claims, Large Loss Property

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Take the lead on investigations and oversee complex claims independently.

• Evaluate coverage, liability, and financial risk; negotiate significant claims.

• Prepare coverage correspondence and interpret commercial policies.

• Establish activities, reserves, and authorize disbursements.

• Collaborate with experts for comprehensive evaluations and resolutions.

• Act as a subject matter authority for substantial losses.

• Ensure compliance with regulations across various jurisdictions.

• Represent the organization in legal proceedings and mediation sessions.

• Work in partnership with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Identify coverage deficiencies and enhance product offerings.

• Guide less experienced adjusters and refine training initiatives.

• Spearhead quality improvement projects to optimize workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is preferred; equivalent professional experience is acceptable.

• A minimum of 8 years of pertinent experience.

• Industry certifications (e.g., CPCU, AIC) are highly desirable.

• Extensive experience in managing complex and high-value claims.

• Recognized expert in the negotiation and resolution of intricate claims.

• Proven expertise in analyzing policy coverage, legal liability, and regulatory frameworks across jurisdictions.

• Demonstrated ability to manage litigation strategies, guide counsel, and represent the company effectively.

• Experience in mentoring peers and developing compliance standards.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to produce clear, factual, and objective documentation.

• Highly organized with a proven track record of managing complex workflows.

• In-depth understanding of insurance principles and coverage analysis.
