This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Actively contributes to regional and market-level business development initiatives by collaborating with Investment Counsellors, Market Leaders, Relationship Managers, and other business stakeholders to uncover growth opportunities, enhance referral activity, and boost prospect conversion rates.
• Establishes and nurtures robust internal and external networks and referral sources to facilitate growth across the designated portfolio or jurisdiction.
• Elevates the firm’s visibility in the market by partnering with internal specialists and external collaborators to formulate cohesive business development strategies.
• Offers investment expertise and strategic insights for prospecting, discovery, proposal creation, client reviews, and identifying new business opportunities.
• Assists in delivering persuasive investment proposals, presentations, portfolio recommendations, and meeting materials for both prospects and clients.
• Provides senior investment expertise, portfolio positioning, fiduciary insights, or market perspectives during prospect and client meetings as necessary.
• Aids in pinpointing regional sales effectiveness challenges and collaborates with leaders and teams to devise actionable plans that drive business outcomes.
• Offers coaching, tools, and training to empower Investment Counsellors and client-facing team members to communicate investment value propositions effectively and confidently.
• Fosters retention and expansion by assisting teams in deepening client relationships, addressing complex client needs, and ensuring a consistent, high-quality client experience.
• CFA designation is preferred.
• Relevant Investment Management Experience (RIME) is preferred.
• Typically requires 9+ years of relevant experience along with a post-secondary degree in a related field, or an equivalent blend of education and experience.
• An MBA or finance-related certification is considered an asset.
• Strong comprehension of fiduciary responsibilities and their application to managed investment accounts.
• In-depth knowledge of equity and fixed income markets.
• Awareness of tax-related issues impacting investments.
• Familiarity with the relevant regulatory environment.
• Proven success in supporting business development, client acquisition, referral growth, and sales enablement efforts.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with Investment Counsellors and market leadership teams to drive growth, improve prospect conversion, and enhance client retention.
• Experienced investment professional with credibility among investment experts, client-facing teams, and senior leadership.
• Strong commercial acumen with the capacity to balance investment expertise, risk management, and growth objectives.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex investment concepts into clear, client-friendly language.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, influencing, and relationship management skills.
