Regional Cybersecurity Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Dominican Republic.

📋 Description

• Act as a reliable advisor, ensuring the activities and objectives of the business unit are effectively supported and secured.

• Transform the organization-wide security strategy and policies into a feasible roadmap for the business unit.

• Collaborate with business leaders to enhance their understanding of cybersecurity risks and provide guidance on management strategies.

• Embed security requirements in new projects, products, and processes.

• Function as a subject matter expert between cybersecurity and the designated business units.

• Organize cybersecurity resources and initiatives.

• Adhere to all risk remediation protocols.

• Update business leaders on the risk implications associated with critical decisions.

• Serve as the main point of contact for cybersecurity incidents.

• Create and present targeted security training for the employees and leadership of the business unit.

• Keep track of emerging cyber threats and trends.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Requires extensive knowledge of PCI-DSS, privacy regulations, security standards, best practices, and security laws.

• A high level of proficiency in threat management, risk management, vulnerability management, and compliance management is necessary.

• Security Certification is required (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC).

• Typically requires 10 - 15 years of cumulative IT and security experience with a broad exposure to systems analysis, application development, and systems administration.

• At least 5 years of experience leading cybersecurity incident response teams.

• Experience in designing and implementing security solutions.

• Fluency in both spoken and written Spanish and English at a professional level is required.

• Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
