Regional Business Manager – Carolinas/Georgia

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee a designated region while directing the activities of Territory Managers and Associate Territory Managers.

• Drive the sales growth of BD medical technology products within the ARR portfolio.

• Assist the team in achieving the sales targets set by the company.

• Increase sales in existing accounts and forge new client relationships.

• Cultivate talent, identify gaps in capabilities, and engage in succession planning activities.

• Communicate organizational objectives and ensure accountability at the individual level.

• Oversee budgets, financial resources, and the profitability of the region.

• Anticipate customer needs and address regional operational challenges.

• Work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to reach business objectives.

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of BD products, distribution channels, pricing structures, discounts, and competitors.

• Provide educational in-service sessions to hospitals.

• Keep track of market fluctuations, competitive actions, customer credit profiles, and policy requirements.

• Stay updated with clinical knowledge pertinent to the product range.

• Adhere to sales management protocols in Salesforce and implement the BD Way of Selling.

• Document customer complaints in accordance with BD procedures.

• Travel to engage with Surgery customers and fulfill additional assigned responsibilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.

• At least 6 years of experience in healthcare sales is required.

• Previous medical sales experience is preferred.

• Willingness to travel up to 80%, including overnight stays.

• Possession of a valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company standards.

• A satisfactory criminal background check is required by BD.

• Ability to fulfill access requirements for customers and medical facilities, including passing periodic drug screenings.

• Prior experience in team leadership is preferred.

• Proven track record of successful sales performance is essential.

• Capability to work respectfully in an Operating Room, endure the observation of surgeries, and potentially stand for extended hours.

• Strong leadership skills are necessary.

• Excellent writing and speaking abilities to communicate complex ideas clearly.

• Skill in analyzing data and presenting insights for business decision-making.

• Strong skills in persuasion, influencing, organization, interpersonal relations, and time management.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with little guidance.

• Sound judgment and professional demeanor are required.

• Proficiency in building and maintaining relationships with hospitals, physicians, administrators, sales teams, and home-office staff.

• Capability to read, comprehend, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and regulations.

• Ability to present information and address inquiries from healthcare professionals, executives, managers, clients, and customers.

• Understanding of contract administration and group purchasing processes.

• In-depth knowledge of the needs/analysis sales methodology.

• Competence in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.

• Ability to maintain vendor credentialing processes.
