Regional Account Manager – HDV Business Unit

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Promote the awareness and comprehension of HDV among Infectious Disease specialists, community-based HBV treaters, and Advanced Practice Providers.

• Inform healthcare professionals about the connection between HBV and HDV, emphasizing the essential role of HBsAg in the replication of HDV and the progression of the disease.

• Educate on HDV screening and testing protocols applicable to HBV patient populations.

• Recognize obstacles to diagnosis and work together with stakeholders to enhance patient identification and referral processes.

• Create and implement detailed account plans for prioritized institutions, health systems, community practices, and referral networks.

• Identify key stakeholders involved in the HDV care pathways across clinical, operational, and administrative functions, providing disease education information when suitable.

• Detect geographic or institutional deficiencies in HDV disease awareness, screening education, and understanding of referral processes.

• Establish and fortify referral pathways between community providers, Infectious Disease specialists, hepatology centers, and transplant programs.

• Utilize data, insights, and customer feedback to continually enhance account strategies.

• Foster trusted relationships with key opinion leaders and emerging advocates for HDV.

• Facilitate peer-to-peer education and initiatives that raise disease awareness.

• Identify opportunities to enhance HDV testing, diagnosis, and patient management practices within local and regional networks.

• Collaboratively and compliantly engage with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Advocacy, and Commercial leadership to execute integrated account strategies.

• Provide field insights to guide market development, launch readiness, and future commercial planning.

• Contribute to the creation of best practices and scalable strategies for HDV market activation.

• Evaluate account readiness and identify gaps in diagnostic, referral, and infrastructure.

• Support education regarding disease states, screening awareness, diagnostic pathways, and referral processes.

• Maintain a thorough understanding of the evolving dynamics within the HDV market.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.

• Over 5 years of experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical field.

• Proven success in specialty, rare disease, infectious disease, hepatology, and gastroenterology, with a preference for experience in Hepatitis B.

• Experience in managing complex healthcare systems and strategic accounts.

• Familiarity with pre-launch, market development, or disease-state awareness roles.

• Strong clinical and scientific knowledge with the capability to communicate complex disease concepts effectively.

• A track record of successful engagement with key opinion leaders and thought leaders.

• High integrity, ethical standards, and a commitment to compliance.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment.

• Willingness to travel frequently, with up to 70% overnight travel and possess a valid driver's license.
