
Regional Account Executive – General Pediatrics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Drive growth within the territory by identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities while nurturing relationships with existing General Pediatrician accounts.
• Act as the primary account manager for healthcare providers, including general pediatricians, midlevels, and their staff.
• Provide customized, consultative sales presentations that articulate the value of GeneDx’s solutions and services for the pediatric demographic.
• Organize and facilitate both in-person and virtual client meetings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee seamless onboarding, service delivery, and prompt resolution of customer issues.
• Lead educational initiatives within the territory, including planning and executing in-office appointments, regional conference events, physician lunches/dinners, and other engagement activities.
• Stay informed about advancements in clinical genomics, pediatric testing guidelines, product offerings, and the competitive landscape to effectively position GeneDx.
• Maintain a strong field presence, with an expectation of 4.5 days per week dedicated to client interactions.
• Meet or surpass assigned sales targets, KPIs, and activity metrics.
• Document customer opportunities, interactions, and updates in CRM and other business systems as required; maintain a pipeline for target clinician development.
• Actively embody and promote GeneDx's cultural principles: adapt to change; communicate directly and with empathy; fulfill commitments; be bold in vision and brave in execution; operate with a proactive approach.
• Exhibit accountability and a robust work ethic, maintaining a team-first attitude.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• A minimum of 3 years in healthcare sales, ideally in a physician sales/services environment, or 2+ years of experience as a genetic counselor.
• Strong preference for experience in selling to general pediatric practices.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude and capacity to promote multiple service offerings while managing several business opportunities simultaneously.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage time and territory responsibilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary.
