Regional Account Executive – Adult Specialty Markets

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• The RAE, focusing on adult specialty segments, is responsible for introducing and securing new business while expanding existing business for GeneDx.

• This role involves partnership and problem-solving with adult specialty call points within the designated territory, utilizing consultative selling, education, and serving as the primary contact for account management with physicians and their staff.

• The RAE will be accountable for lead generation within their assigned territory, ensuring physician and staff satisfaction with GeneDx programs and services, as well as coordinating sales and service activities among GeneDx team members.

• Coordination with operations is essential to guarantee consistent follow-up and prompt resolution of issues.

• The role requires the implementation of agreed-upon sales and marketing strategies while actively supporting development events such as physician dinners and other special occasions.

• Proactively identifying and establishing new physician relationships is crucial, with active management of a physician development pipeline and clear communication of value propositions.

• The RAE will promote GeneDx services in a consultative manner, assessing customer needs and requirements, and offering recommendations to physicians and their staff regarding the various solutions that GeneDx can provide.

• The position includes holding in-person and virtual client meetings, with an expectation of 4.5 field days each week.

• Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Business, Marketing, or a related field is required.

• A Master's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field is preferred.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare sales, ideally within a physician sales/services environment, or 2 years of experience as a genetic counselor is necessary.

• Preferred experience includes specialties such as neurology, immunology, rheumatology, and/or other adult specialty segments.

• Candidates must exhibit a strong technical aptitude and a proven ability to promote multiple service offerings and business opportunities simultaneously.

• A professional demeanor and excellent communication skills are essential.

• A history reflecting integrity and professional ethics is required.

• The ability to work collaboratively as a team player to ensure quality patient care, whether directly or indirectly, is important.

• A valid driver's license is mandatory.

• Candidates should be able to handle challenging situations and interactions effectively.

• The ability to work independently and manage time and territory activities successfully is crucial.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
