This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +4 more states.
• Execute in-depth threat emulation exercises that mimic cyber-attacks to identify vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and applications.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams during purple team exercises.
• Conduct lateral movement within target environments to evaluate network segmentation and access controls.
• Implement local privilege escalation techniques.
• Simulate threat actors’ tactics, techniques, and procedures to detect defensive weaknesses.
• Design and utilize custom scripts, tools, and frameworks for red team operations.
• Perform reconnaissance to collect intelligence and pinpoint attack vectors.
• Assess cloud-based environments for configuration, access control, and data protection vulnerabilities.
• Document and convey findings, risks, and recommendations in reports tailored for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Report directly to the Director of Cybersecurity.
• Over 5 years of hands-on experience conducting penetration tests and serving as a red team member.
• Demonstrated success in red team and purple team operations.
• Capability to compromise modern organizations, escalate privileges, maneuver laterally through intricate networks, and fulfill adversary objectives.
• Strong expertise in phishing techniques, social engineering strategies, and other initial access methods.
• Significant experience in producing detailed, well-structured reports that outline findings, risks, and actionable recommendations.
• Basic development skills in Python, Bash, Git, or similar tools for custom solutions.
• Industry certifications such as OSCP, OSCE, GPEN, GWAPT, CISSP, or equivalent are preferred.
