This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Manage designated accounts consistently, keeping an eye on unresolved debts.
• Examine assigned accounts to identify any potential long-term issues.
• Reach out to consumers and patients with overdue payments to promote payment, proposing repayment plans when necessary.
• Create repayment plans that effectively and swiftly address outstanding debts.
• Address inquiries promptly and professionally, resolving any billing or collection concerns.
• Process payments and, where applicable, issue refunds.
• Frequently update account status records for the accounts you manage.
• Analyze [daily/monthly] reports regarding collection progress.
• [2+] years of experience as a Collection Specialist or in a comparable position.
• High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
• A degree is preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of collection and billing procedures.
• Strong grasp of legal regulations related to debt, including but not limited to FDCPA and FCRA.
• Proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and comfortable reaching out to patients/consumers regarding potentially sensitive topics.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for negotiation.

• Strong organizational skills and capacity to multitask.
