This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska.
• Oversee the office-based, end-to-end site-specific revenue cycle team(s)
• Conduct interviews, hire, onboard, and train new employees or transferred team members
• Provide continuous training and development on billing, coding, compliance, payer requirements, and best practices
• Hold bi-weekly meetings to discuss scorecards and metrics, modify workflows, and execute strategic initiatives
• Address communication gaps within the team to enhance accountability and performance
• Carry out quarterly performance reviews for direct reports and offer constructive feedback
• Prepare and deliver reports on site-specific RCM KPIs to the RCM Manager or Director
• Monitor collection rates, days in accounts receivable (AR), AR over 90 days, and RCM ticketing performance
• Conduct weekly audits of team performance to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant processing
• Develop and implement procedures for managing outstanding claims and overdue account payments
• Ensure staffing levels are in line with volume-based staffing models and role assignments
• Analyze month-over-month trends and actively contribute to departmental goals and strategic initiatives
• Assess RCM processes, suggest enhancements, and streamline workflows
• Report compliance issues and assist in their resolution in collaboration with the compliance department
• Act as the primary contact for site leadership regarding account or patient inquiries
• Previous experience in dental office workflows and revenue cycle operations, encompassing scheduling, registration, insurance verification, fee schedules, claim submission, charging/coding, insurance AR follow-up, and payment posting
• Familiarity with reimbursement and compliance processes and procedures across all payers
• Proficient with practice management software, insurance portals, clearinghouses, insurance guidelines, and banking reconciliation software
• Intermediate PC skills, along with strong Excel capabilities
• High level of computer literacy
• Excellent mathematical and problem-solving abilities
• Competent in data entry and 10-key by touch
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Capability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently
• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities
• Ability to meet deadlines and comply with Compliance and Revenue Cycle standard operating procedures
• Organized work habits with a focus on accuracy, attention to detail, and robust analytical skills
• Preferred certifications include Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Revenue Cycle Professional (CRCP)
• Must adhere to organizational, state, and federal employment regulations and practices
• Prior experience in team and personnel management is preferred
