RCM Operations Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Take charge of comprehensive billing operations throughout the entire claims lifecycle.

• Lead and oversee a team of 4+ offshore support personnel. Establish priorities, assign tasks, evaluate outputs, and ensure the team remains focused.

• Handle a significant volume of billing inquiries and escalations from both vendors and internal departments.

• Assist with various ad-hoc RCM projects, such as state launches, setting up new payers, provider enrollment, and addressing credentialing gaps for current clinicians.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of direct RCM experience, with a solid understanding of the claims lifecycle: including denials, rejections, adjustments, and resubmissions. Proficient in Availity and standard provider portals.

• Demonstrates a sense of ownership. You maintain organized workflows, follow up on outstanding items proactively, and approach the function as if it were your own to manage.

• Effective communicator. You present critical information in a manner that others can act upon, and you remain responsive to the teams that rely on your support.

• Adaptable in a dynamic environment. Experience in a startup or high-growth setting is preferred. You manage multiple projects concurrently and require minimal oversight to remain organized.

• You elevate standards. You are comfortable pushing back, identifying issues, and holding both vendors and internal teams accountable to higher expectations—even in the absence of formal authority.
