This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the complete lifecycle of attorney and client rate management, encompassing rate setup, modifications, approvals, audits, and execution.
• Examine, confirm, and sustain billing rates in alignment with client engagement agreements, outside counsel guidelines, and firm regulations.
• Evaluate rate requests and pinpoint discrepancies, conflicts, or compliance issues before implementation.
• Update and manage rate details within Aderant, Intapp, and various other firm systems.
• Leverage Expert Rates to investigate, benchmark, and validate attorney rate frameworks.
• Collaborate with attorneys, billing teams, finance, and business operations to guarantee precise rate application across matters and clients.
• Assist with e-billing necessities by ensuring rates conform to client guidelines and electronic billing platform specifications.
• Produce and analyze reports using SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) and other reporting tools to track rate accuracy, trends, and exceptions.
• Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of rate data to ensure consistency across systems.
• Develop and maintain documentation of rate processes, approvals, and compliance with policies.
• Support special projects related to pricing, billing operations, and financial reporting.
• A minimum of 3 years of law firm experience is required, ideally in rates administration, billing, pricing, finance, or revenue management.
• Direct experience with Aderant is mandatory.
• Familiarity with Intapp and Expert Rates is highly preferred.
• Profound understanding of legal billing processes, rate structures, and e-billing platforms.
• Experience in reviewing and interpreting client rate agreements, engagement terms, and outside counsel guidelines.
• Proficient knowledge of SSRS reporting and financial data analysis.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data validation, and reporting functionalities.
• Experience working in Am Law or mid-to-large law firm settings.
• Exposure to pricing, revenue management, or financial operations roles.
• Understanding of legal matter management and billing compliance procedures.
