This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Create comprehensive and precise project estimates that encompass labor, materials, subcontractors, and profit margins.
• Evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
• Generate professionally structured quotations for client presentations.
• Maintain estimating templates and pricing databases within the system.
• Identify and document project variations due to scope modifications or site conditions.
• Develop detailed variation cost breakdowns and justification reports.
• Keep an up-to-date variation register for each project.
• Ensure that approved variations are incorporated into budgets and contract values.
• Accurately prepare progress claims and charge-up invoices in a timely manner.
• Reconcile claims against contract values and approved variations.
• Address invoice-related inquiries from clients and internal teams.
• Maintain complete financial records for all projects.
• Monitor project budgets compared to actual costs using Buildertrend or a similar platform.
• Track all cost categories, including labor, materials, and subcontractors.
• Generate regular cost reports that highlight risks and variances.
• Report cost overruns with suggestions for corrective actions.
• Monitor labor hours across active projects and compare them against budgets.
• Prepare reports on productivity and labor utilization for management.
• Work closely with site teams to align labor forecasting with actual site conditions.
• Identify significant variances for further review.
• Coordinate material ordering from the quotation stage through to delivery.
• Ensure that procurement processes align with project schedules and budgets.
• Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure cost effectiveness and reliability.
• Reconcile purchase orders with supplier invoices.
• Act as a vital link between office staff, site teams, suppliers, and clients.
• Support the ongoing improvement of systems, templates, and workflows.
• Assist in establishing standardized processes to enhance efficiency and consistency.
• Maintain professional communication with all stakeholders.
• Background in Quantity Surveying, estimating, or construction cost administration.
• Strong expertise in Buildertrend or comparable construction management software.
• Exceptional numerical accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong written communication and documentation abilities.
• Experience collaborating with both office and site-based teams.
• Formal qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline (Desirable).
• Experience with residential or commercial construction projects valued between $1M and $2M (Desirable).
• Familiarity with New Zealand construction standards and contract frameworks (e.g., NZS 3910) (Desirable).
• Experience in procurement and supplier management (Desirable).
