Quantitative Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop APIs and AI-enhanced tools for clients: Play a key role in dv01's External API offerings and AI assistant by designing RESTful endpoints, incorporating structured finance expertise into conversational interfaces, and linking external tools to dv01's data platform.

• Utilize modern connectivity standards: Collaborate with MCP and similar integration methodologies to link AI agents and external tools with dv01's data platform, facilitating smooth interoperability across client workflows.

• Model intricate structured finance transactions: You will derive deal structures from offering memorandums, trustee reports, and various legal documents, creating programmatic representations of these transactions.

• Advance and launch dv01’s groundbreaking on-demand reporting tool: Collaborate with the Credit Facility Reporting team to further enhance the client-facing on-demand borrowing base reporting tool.

• Engage with a diverse team: We thrive in a highly collaborative setting, allowing daily interaction with internal domain experts, product managers, engineers, and designers.

⛳️ Requirements

• A versatile engineer: You possess a solid understanding of engineering principles with over 6 years of experience. You recognize the significance of writing tests, designing systems for longevity, and assessing various engineering methodologies.

• Proficient in structured finance: You have considerable experience in structured finance, specifically in securitizations and credit facility transactions.

• Experienced in web application development: You have a strong grasp of web technologies and are enthusiastic about enhancing your back-end development skills. You've participated in small projects or contributed to larger initiatives, gaining experience with APIs, databases, and creating straightforward, user-friendly interfaces. You're eager to learn more about scalable application development and how web development integrates with complex data and financial systems.

• Interested in AI and API design: You have a curiosity about how LLMs and well-crafted APIs can simplify complex financial data. Previous experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Detail-oriented: You pay close attention to the finer points while also being a big-picture thinker who can abstract specifics into broader patterns.

• Innovative mindset: You are proactive and creative, capable of exploring new solutions and addressing challenges that lack predefined answers.
