Quality & Regulatory Affairs Manager – part-time 20hrs/week

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will take charge of compliance and internal quality assurance throughout our operations, developing systems and processes that ensure we remain compliant across various markets and partners in a scalable and effective manner.

• You will collaborate with our Solutions team at the initial stages of new market development, shaping requirements from the outset, and subsequently take complete ownership within Operations to enforce, supervise, and enhance these requirements.

• This role involves translating regulatory requirements into solid frameworks, performing internal audits, and guaranteeing that our operational processes consistently meet our established standards.

• Develop, implement, and continuously refine our Quality Management System (QMS), which includes standard operating procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and document control standards.

• Plan and execute internal audits of our operational processes, driving corrective and preventive actions to ensure we consistently meet our performance expectations.

• Consult with our Solutions team during the inception of new markets and partner integrations, helping to establish compliance requirements from the ground up.

• Assume full responsibility for enforcing and overseeing these requirements within Operations — qualifying, auditing, and monitoring recycling and collection partners against our quality and regulatory benchmarks.

• Define and oversee partner governance processes, which encompass supplier audit cycles and remediation tracking.

• Monitor regulatory changes across active markets to ensure we proactively address compliance obligations in a structured and scalable manner.

• Manage all documentation necessary for ISO certifications, insurers, enterprise customers, and external audits.

• Act as the primary expert for quality and regulatory matters across the organization.

• You possess experience in establishing or managing Quality Management Systems.

• You have experience in conducting or overseeing supplier and third-party audits.

• You are proficient in creating and maintaining SOPs, process documentation, and document control systems.

• You enjoy structuring complex operational processes and continuously enhancing them.

• You communicate effectively across teams and can collaborate successfully with both internal and external stakeholders.

• You take initiative, work independently, and have a hands-on, execution-focused approach.

• You are fluent in English; proficiency in German is a significant advantage.
