This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist with new business development, product onboarding, and the training process for inspections across all manufacturing facilities.
• Act as the liaison among Sales, Program Management, Engineering, and Operations for the quoting, launching, validating, and transitioning of new products into production.
• Examine customer drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and specific clauses during the quoting process.
• Evaluate manufacturability and inspectability; create inspection time estimates and define quality-related labor needs.
• Determine requirements for equipment, fixtures, gaging, and inspection resources for costing purposes.
• Lead quality planning initiatives and coordinate New Product Introduction (NPI) launches across various manufacturing facilities.
• Formulate inspection plans, control plans, first article strategies, validation requirements, and measurement strategies.
• Develop and validate CMM programs; troubleshoot and enhance existing programs.
• Generate and maintain control plans, inspection plans, work instructions, first article inspection plans, process flow diagrams, and quality verification requirements.
• Ensure that documentation adheres to AS9100, ISO 9001, customer, and regulatory standards.
• Provide training for inspectors, engineers, programmers, production staff, and site quality teams.
• Facilitate product readiness reviews, confirm launch readiness, manage site handoff, and offer ramp-up support.
• Recognize opportunities for continuous improvement, promote standardization, and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• Experience in CMM programming with Zeiss Calypso XXT-RDS & Vast-XT.
• Proficient in GD&T interpretation and application.
• Ability to read blueprints and plan inspections.
• Experience with First Article Inspection (AS9102).
• Knowledge in Control Plans, PFMEA, and Process Flow Development.
• Familiarity with statistical process control and measurement system analysis.
• Understanding of Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action methodologies.
• Over 5 years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.
• More than 10 years of CMM programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Background in New Product Introduction (NPI) and product launch processes.
• Experience with AS9100, ISO 13485, and customer-specific quality systems.
• Preferred experience supporting multiple manufacturing locations.
• Knowledge of quality requirements in aerospace, defense, medical, and precision machining is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs. when necessary.
• Capability to stand, walk, and reach regularly.
• Good close, distance, color, and depth vision; ability to adjust focus.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% to support facilities.
• Must be a U.S. person due to ITAR regulations: U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder), or U.S. national.
