Quality Assurance Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and uphold test plans, test cases, and test scripts across web, mobile, and/or backend platforms.

• Conduct both manual and applicable automated functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.

• Detect edge cases, usability concerns, and defects through meticulous testing.

• Test from the perspectives of the end-user, QA engineer, and product owner.

• Record defects with enough detail for developers to replicate and resolve issues.

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers throughout sprint and release cycles.

• Champion quality from the initial requirements gathering to post-release monitoring.

• Manage end-to-end testing for assigned features, ensuring that releases adhere to quality standards.

• Suggest enhancements to QA processes, testing strategies, and tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of hands-on QA experience.

• Solid understanding of software testing, test case development, and defect management.

• Experience in Agile development settings.

• Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Proficient with QA tools such as Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr.

• Capable of clearly documenting bugs and effectively communicating findings.

• Experience in designing and maintaining test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

• Background in manual testing across functional, regression, integration, and exploratory cycles.

• Nice to have: experience with test automation frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.

• Nice to have: knowledge of API testing tools, including Postman.

• Nice to have: experience in a startup or fast-paced product environment.

• Resume must adhere to the Coconut VA Profile format and be submitted in English.

• Indicate CEFR English proficiency level in the application.

• Must be available for full-time work, 40 hours per week, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.
