This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver on-site management of ship availability programs and provide technical assistance to Military Sealift Command (MSC) vessels.
• Collaborate with the Availability Management Team (AMT) to complete specific tasks related to assigned work items.
• Aid in observing and confirming engineering requirements linked to the maintenance, repair, and modification of the vessel.
• Compile all observations, reports, and recommendations for the Principal Port Engineer (PPE).
• Evaluate shipyard production activities in the areas of piping, steel, and aluminum fit-ups, including weld inspections and gauging.
• Submit a written daily status report on assigned work items to the PPE.
• Proficiency in speaking and writing English.
• Capability to obtain a Secret level clearance.
• Willingness to travel CONUS/OCOUNS for periods of 2-4 months at a time.
• Physical capability to navigate the entire ship, including climbing up and down ladder wells and crawling into tanks.
• Familiarity with ship construction, metal work, and auxiliary systems.
