This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Assist with both new and ongoing production processes at ThermalWorks manufacturing facilities in Europe to identify quality issues for initial article inspections or prior to the shipment of production units.
• Evaluate assembly, wiring, piping, and commissioning documentation to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and approved submissions.
• Collaborate with factory leadership to communicate findings and highlight any hold conditions that need addressing before release.
• Record inspection results and submit written reports to the Director of Quality.
• Conduct on-site QA/QC inspections at customer data center locations to confirm that ThermalWorks equipment installation, commissioning, and service tasks meet the required standards.
• Work alongside the EU Director of Operations when customer-related issues emerge.
• Lead 8D problem-solving efforts for technical customer issues, coordinating investigations and corrective actions with TW Engineering and Operations teams.
• Develop customer-facing reports including Root Cause Analyses, Plans of Corrective Actions, and Technical Bulletins.
• Produce structured inspection reports for each site visit, documenting findings, nonconformances, necessary corrective actions, and the status of resolutions.
• Engage in internal QC meetings as the source of field and factory intelligence, sharing findings and trends with quality and service leadership.
• Maintain a continuous log of open quality items across both factory and field, tracking their status until closure.
• Collaborate with the tech support team to identify recurring field issues that may indicate broader quality or design problems.
• Assist in the development and enhancement of inspection checklists, MOPs, SOPs, and QA/QC documentation standards.
• Over 7 years of practical experience in HVAC/mechanical systems or industrial equipment manufacturing.
• More than 4 years of experience in a Quality role (engineer, supervisor, manager).
• Proven QA/QC experience on construction, commissioning, or service projects in data center or critical infrastructure settings.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, submissions, MOPs, SOPs, and EAPs.
• Strong written documentation skills — inspection reports, nonconformance logs, and findings summaries must be clear and actionable.
• Willingness and capacity to travel to factory and field locations regularly.
• Proficiency with BAS/BMS platforms for system verification during site inspections.
• Fluent in Spanish.
• Experience with commercial or mission-critical HVAC/mechanical systems, including chillers, hydronic loops, cooling towers, and related controls.
• Familiarity with Turbocor centrifugal chiller platforms.
• Knowledge of dry cooler or adiabatic cooling systems.
• Prior experience presenting quality findings to management-level audiences.
• Background in instructor-level training or technical mentorship.
• Experience reviewing RFIs and equipment submissions.
• Fluent in Catalan.
